نظرا لعدم توفر كتب ومحتوى تعليمي عربي مجاني كافي على الإنترنت في عام 2003، تم جمع بعض الكتب المبعثرة في الكثير من المنتديات والمواقع الإلكترونية وترتيبها في موقع واحد ليكون مرجعا سهلا لكل الباحثين والراغبين في التعلم.
ونظرا للتفاعل الكبير من قبل الزوار والذي تمثل في إرسال كتب ومقترحات للموقع، تم تطويره على عدة مراحل مذكورة في خط الموقع الزمني أدناه.
مازال الموقع قيد التطوير ولذا نرحب بأي مقترحات أو إضافات من قبل الزوار الأكارم.
